The "Thespian" is Theatre BC's way of honouring the best in community theatre. Each "Thespian" is an original sculpture in bronze by Mr. Geert Maas of Kelowna.
For many, the trek to MAINSTAGE has already started. From March through May more then 60 community theatre clubs throughout BC and the Yukon compete in eleven "Zone Festivals" for the right to come to Canada's oldest running Provincial theatre festival.
Each production, in addition to being best in its zone, will also have gone through an intensive adjudication and workshop process.
