Theatre BC is proud to announce that as part
of our 75th Anniversary celebration, Theatre Kelowna Society will be hosting our first
annual provincial one act festival, Actoberfest 2007, this coming October in Kelowna.
The intention of this fringe-style festival is to
promote small one act plays and monologues, especially new works and/or Canadian plays.
Selection of performances are based on audience appeal, variety, and production values
Fast Facts:
- Venues are the Black Box Theatre at the Kelowna Community Centre and the
banquet room at the Royal Anne Hotel (Official Hotel & Accommodation
Sponsor). - Our host hotel, the Royal Anne Hotel - 348
Bernard Avenue, Kelowna - has rooms block-booked for Actoberfest. Phone is 250-763-2277.
The rate is $79.00 per night plus tax.
- All performance tickets will be $8., including the
"Best of the Fest" performances on Sunday. There will be 100 seats per
performance. All sales are now done at the door of each venue.
- The festival Coffee Critique with Adjudicator Linda Beaven will be Sunday
10:00 am at the host hotel & is open to all participants.
- There will be 80 tickets available for the Sunday Awards Luncheon at Cutter's in the
Royal Anne Hotel. Tickets are $25 each. See the festival information desk in the
hotel to purchase.
- "Best Of The Fest" performance follows at 2:00 pm
at the Black Box Theatre. Tickets are $8 each.
