Saturday July 1, 2000 - Canada Day

Come join us in celebrating Canada's 133rd birthday. Dress for the Great White North or the southern beaches of Point Pelee (Canada's most southern point and on the same latitude as Northern California). Be a Canada Goose or a Prime Minister (not a lot of difference) and show your pride in this great magnificent country of ours. Just wear red and white and let's rejoice in being the best country in the world (don't tell those neighbours south of us)!

A salute to our neighbours to the south...the US of A! Come as your favourite President (not everyone can be Bill!) or American celebrity....there are a few of them left. The world's your bowl of grits when it comes to the States...be a cowboy, a hillbilly, a millionaire, a starlet, a baseball player...BE REGIS PHILBIN! Be whomever you want just remember Elvis hasn't left the building.

Wednesday, July 5, 2000- Greece

If it was good enough for Shirley Valentine to escape to, it's good enough for you! No, we won't have a Greek Adonis to whisk you off on a boat ride or a goddess to feed you grapes (wait a minute...isn't that Rome?), but we will have authentic Greek food, some dancing and maybe we'll even smash a plate or two!

Thursday, July 6, 2000 - England

England swings like a pendulum do...Bobby's on bicycles, two by two...Westminster Abbey, the Tower of Big Ben...The Mother Country...the home of Wm. Shakespeare...Bernard Shaw...Willy Russell...Alan Ayckbourn...Agatha Christie and Dame Edna! Be your favourite Brit....John, Paul, Ringo or George. Elton, Lulu, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mick or Petula! No bartering allowed just lots of fun and dancing! Polish up your Mexican Hat Dance and don't forget to take the Beano before you leave home!

Saturday, July 8, 2000 - Wrap Party

A celebration of a wonderful week of great theatre, terrific workshops, new friendships and old, and a trip around the world! Make this a date to spiff up a little and reminisce about the week with everyone. Take the time to say your goodbyes and don't forget the promises to "see you next Mainstage". Your last chance to dance into the wee small hours of the morning...the grande finale to another great Mainstage festival. Thank you everyone, for playing.
