Lanni McInnes- Special Merit Winner "The Fetch"
Lanni is a resident actor, director and associate Director for Western Canada Theatre. She has enjoyed associations with many of B.C.'s professional theatre companies, and has served as a workshop instructor, juror of plays entered in the Playwriting Competition, and dramaturge for TBC's New Play Festival. For Western Canada Theatre's current season, Lanni is directing a Canadian comedy,"Having Hope at Home" by David S. Craig. She looks forward to the unique opportunity of working with a new, award-winning script and keenly committed actors during this year's New Play Festival.

Theatre BC: Lanni served as a Dramaturge Instructor for TBC's New Play Festival in Kamloops in 2000, 2002, 2005 & 2006.

Janet Michael

Janet Michael - 1-Act Winner "The Big Smoke" 
JANET T. MICHAEL is a fully functioning Canadian theatre professional who has been happily employed by companies from Newfoundland to British Columbia. She is presently Associate Director with Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops where she has been engaged as an actor, director, musician, sound designer, writer, dramaturge and teacher. Her journey through the world of Canadian theatre has led her, most recently, to the choicest acting roles of her life - Rachel in Joanna M. Glass's IF WE ARE WOMEN , Ernestine in Tomson Highway's ERNESTINE SHUSWP GETS HER TROUT, Grandma in Alistair McLeod's NO GREAT MISCHIEF and most recently and most challenging Charlotte Whitton in Sharon Bajer's MOLLY'S VEIL. Janet's work also includes film and television and she counts among her most memorable performing moments", appearing as The Virgin Mary to John the Baptist in a men's washroom at the Avalon Mall in St. John's, in the wondrous but under-distributed indie EXTRAORDINARY VISITOR".

David Ross
David Ross

David Ross - FL Winner "Homeless Hannah"
     David has been Artistic Producer of Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops for over 20 years. Prior to returning to the West, he co-founded Rising Tide Theatre in St. John's, NFLD, touring Canada, England, Wales and Ireland. David has served Western Canada Theatre and other companies as an actor, director, musician, dramaturge and sound designer. Some of his recent directing credits include
  Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad, and the world premieres of Ernestine Shuswap Gets Her Trout, Scandal: The Robert Sommers Story, and very recently, The Dreamer’s Quest. Some of his favourite roles in the last few years include Douglas in Ethan Claymore, Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Robert in Proof, and Angus in The Drawer Boy. David has acted in more than 100 dramas for CBC Radio and also appears in the recently released feature film Deepwater shot in and around Clearwater. David  has just been reappointed to a second three-year term on the BC Arts Council.

Theatre BC: In addition to his work at WCT, he has adjudicated drama festivals in both BC and Newfoundland, including serving as the Adjudicator at Theatre BC's MAINSTAGE 2000 provincial festival in Delta and the North Island Zone in 2005. Long a supporter of Theatre BC endeavors, David sees the New Play Festival and the development of new Canadian work as a key element of WCT's mandate.

Danielle Dunn-Morris
      Danielle is an accomplished actress and director who has been involved with all aspects of theatre most of her life. Danielle studied Acting, Speech and Movement at the Banff School of Fine Arts and received a degree in Education at U.B.C. While teaching in the public school system, she was involved in the founding of the Western Canada Theatre in Kamloops and eventually became Artistic Director of two theatre companies; Shuswap Summer Theatre (1989-96) and Watermark Theatre (1993-98). Her onstage roles include Shirley Valentine (for Summer Theatre Co-op), Gwendoline (for which she won Best Actress at the 1989 OKZ Festival), Eleanor in The Lion in Winter (Shuswap Theatre), and, most recently, as Mom in Kiss The Moon, Kiss The Sun for Western Canada Theatre. Directing credits include: Quaaout Lodge Two White Chicks Sittin' Around Talking & Moon Over The Brewery; Shuswap Theatre Sylvia & Seduced By Moonlight ; Thompson Valley Players Two One Acts & Looking for Mr. Right. Danielle has appeared in film, television, commercials and theatre productions and is now providing training for the burgeoning T.V. and Film industry  with her company River Magic Productions in Kamloops, where she instructs "Acting From The Feet Up" and "Learn The Roles Not The Lines", as well as bringing in other professionals to teach auditioning, scriptwriting, make-up and other aspects of the industry. Other Instructor credits include for University of the Okanagan -Adult Acting course; Revelstoke Arts Festival "Children are Story Tellers"; University of the Cariboo "Acting for the Camera" (credited course); City of Kamloops Recreation Department "What Actors Do" & "Acting From the Feet Up"

Theatre BC: Danielle is a popular instructor, having led workshop tours throughout the Okanagan Zone and Special Courses at  MAINSTAGE Festivals in 2001, 2004 and 2006. She served as guest adjudicator for the 4th Annual CanWest Play Fest in Fort St. John in Sept. 2006.

Fran Gebhard

Fran Gebhard
            Fran is an actor, director and dramaturge. Her acting credits include stops with the Blyth Festival,
Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Calgary, Northern Lights Theatre, Playwright's Theatre Centre (formerly the New Play Centre), Arts Club Theatre, Playhouse Theatre and both Shakespeare Kelowna and Theatre Kelowna. She still performs the 10th Annual Canadian National Playwriting Competition's One-Act Winner, Looking For Kitty (formerly Dried Flowers) by Maryjane Cruise. Her work in film and television includes a nomination for a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 1998, Fran was awarded The Arts Person of the Year award in Kelowna, BC.
Fran was involved with the Banff Playwrights Colony
for many years, including terms as Program Head from 1976 - 1985 and coordinator of the Screenwriters Workshop from 1986 - 1990. She also taught Directing for the theatre program at UVIC during the 2003/04 term. She was on faculty with the Theatre Department of the University of Regina until July 2006. She also adjudicates and gives workshops with Theatre Saskatchewan.

Theatre BC: Fran was a juror for the 10th (1998), 12th (2000) and 18th (2006) Annual Canadian National Playwriting Competitions and also served as a Round Table dramaturge at TheatreBC's New Play Festival in Victoria in1999 and Kamloops in 2002. She has traveled to most zones as a Regional Instructor in acting/directing, as well as Workshop Play instructor at Mainstage '02 in Nanaimo. Fran served as adjudicator for both the NIZ and CIZ Festivals in 2003.
