There will be a REGISTRATION DESK in the lobby of the Pavilion Theatre (1025 Lorne St, Kamloops). Volunteers will be stationed at the Registration Desk throughout the weekend. Participants can pick up their Registration Packages at the Registration Desk upon arrival.

Auditing:
There is only one low Festival Pass Fee or "Hospitality Fee",  which covers access to all sessions as an auditor, reader or actor. Registered participants may sit in and observe any of the 'Re-working Sessions and/or 'Finalist Round Table Sessions' as well as attend the Playwrights' Reception, opening day Workshop and the Staged Public Readings. Some copy scripts will be available at the Registration Desk. Stay with one particular Re-working Session from start to finish or move around to any combination of the various Sessions. We only ask that 'Auditors' show courtesy to the Dramaturges, Playwrights and Actors/Readers when entering or leaving Sessions. Please do not interrupt the work in progress. It is best to change Sessions during breaks..

Re-working Sessions:
These intense workshop sessions, running Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, will focus on taking the three category-winning scripts "from the page to the stage". Playwrights will be given direction on taking their scripts to the next level to develop and prepare each work for production. The Dramaturges and Playwrights will work through their respective scripts, using registrant actors to work scenes. This year's sessions include: TBA

Finalist Round Table Sessions:
These four-hour sessions with registrant Readers and a professional dramaturge, provide the Finalist Playwrights with an analytical process and valuable feedback for continued development of their scripts. This year, the Finalist scripts will also receive a Public Reading; one script during the Playwrights’ Reception and the remaining scripts on Sunday morning.   TBA

Dramaturges: TBA

Playwrights' Reception:
The New Play Festival will host an informal Reception in the Pavilion Theatre from approximately 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday, April 19th, open to Playwrights, Dramaturges, Instructors, Registrants and invited guests. The Reception will include the presentation of the Cash Awards to the three category-winning playwrights, and Public Reading of one Finalist Play. This will also be an opportunity for all participants to mingle, unwind, get to know each other and discuss the events of the weekend.

Staged Public Readings:
The culmination of the weekend Festival will be the 'Staged Public Readings'. These Readings will take place Sunday, April 20th at the Pavilion Theatre, with Finalists scripts being read on Sunday morning from 10:00am - 12:00pm, and the three category-winning scripts from 1:30 - 4:30pm.
