Line-up of Plays

Wednesday, March 20 - 8:00 pm GREATER TUNA by J.Williams, J.Sears & E.Howard

presented by Bridge to Broadway Theatre Group,
directed by Tom Kirschner and Dennis Szalai

What do Arles Struvie, Thurston Wheelis, Aunt Pearl, Petey Fisk, Phineas Blye and Rev. Spikes all have in common? They are some of the fine, upstanding citizens of Tuna - Texas' "3rd smallest town" - in this hilarious send-up of small-town mores; and they are all played by two actors! In this Off Broadway hit the authors re-created virtually the entire population of "Tuna" in a tour-de-farce of quick-change artistry, both of costumes and of comic characterizations. We doubt you'll find a comedy more clever, more inventive, more fun, more downright wild! Slightly restricted.

Thursday, March 21 - 8:00 pm SEASCAPE by Edward Albee

presented by Stage North Theatre Society,
directed by Teela Gould

As the play opens, we discover Charlie and Nancy relaxing on the beach after a picnic lunch. A long-married couple on the verge of old-age, they begin to discuss their expectations for the future. Just as they have reached what seems like a state of impasse, the extraordinary comes to them in the form of Leslie and Sarah, a pair of human-shaped, talking lizards that climb up onto the dune to explore an unknown world. Dignity, jealousy, arms, legs and breasts are some of the things they share ..... or do they?
June Ainsworth - Nancy
Dave Eaton - Charlie
Mike Odowichuk - Leslie
Terry Boyle - Sarah

Friday, March 22  - 8:00 pm VOICE OF THE PRAIRIE by John Olive

presented by South Peace Players, directed by Sarah Wiens

In the early days of radio, a con man and a storyteller come together
to sell the "magic of the ether". Radio is the wave of the future.
While looking towards the future, David Quinn reconnects with a past
long gone but never forgotten.
Darren J. Szpak - Actor 1 - Poppy, David Quinn, Frankie's Father,     Newsstand Vendor, the Watermelon Man, various offstage characters and voices.
Jeremy Beaulne - Actor 2 - Davey, Leon Schwab, James, the Jailer and various and miscellaneous characters.
Deanna Sudnik - Actor 3 - Frankie, Susie, Frances Reed and other assorted offstage characters and voices.

Saturday, March 23  - 7:00 pm WHEN SHAKESPEARE'S LADIES MEET by C. George

presented by Stage North Theatre Society,
directed by Christine McGhghy

Imagine the fun when six of Shakespeare's heroines get together to discuss the universal topic - love. Juliet has just fallen in love with Romeo and the other ladies of the Bard's imagination convene to enlighten her on the best method of conducting a romance. We have a wonderful cast of six local ladies with varying degrees of
experience. A laugh will be had by all.
