Adjudicator for the week is John Cooper.
John Cooper John is a popular adjudicator and workshop instructor for Theatre BC and is very pleased to be invited to Fort St. John to adjudicate the Peace River Zone Theatre Festival this Spring. Immediately following each production, John will share with the audience some enlightening and entertaining insights into
that evening's production.
John has directed over 90 productions at theatres across Canada. He received Jesse Richardson Awards for his direction of George Walker's "Love and Anger" and Terence McNally's "Lips Together, Teeth Apart", both for The Vancouver Playhouse. This season, John has directed "15 Seconds" for Alberta Theatre Projects, "High Life" for The Arts Club Theatre, "Big Mama!" for Calgary's Lunchbox Theatre, "999" for The Richmond Gateway Theatre, "Blue Mango" for The Belfry Theatre and "Je Me Souviens", written and performed
by his wife Lorena Gale, for The Firehall and Belfry Theatres.

Awards Ceremony and Closing Reception: the audience is invited The Awards Ceremony will take place in the theatre on
Saturday, April 1 at 8:30 P.M. following the Theatre Forum demonstration. The adjudicator, John Cooper, and Peace River
Zone Theatre B.C. representative, June Ainsworth, will present the awards. A Mainstage play may be chosen to represent Y
the Peace River Zone at Mainstage 2000 in Delta in early July. Saturday evening audience and all festival participants are
invited to the Closing Reception in the loft.
Location: The North Peace Cultural Centre in Fort St. John The North Peace Cultural Centre has a 413 seat theatre,
public art gallery, meetings rooms, bar area with loR, cafe, public library and dance rehearsal space. The Cultural
Centre is located in the heart of Fort St. John and is a hub of activity for the arts the North Peace.

Individual evening tickets: Adults $12.00 Students: 10.00
Festival Passes( all five evenings): Adults $35.00 Students and Seniors:$25.00
All registered festival participants (cast and crew) receive a complimentary festival pass at registration.
Registration is open from 6 - 8 P.M. on Tuesday, March 28 at the North Peace Cultural Centre.

Zone Festivals are held in each of Theatre BCs Zones throughout the spring, leading to the annual provincial MAINSTAGE theatre festival. Productions from each Zone Festival will participate as a "Best Production", "Workshop Play" or "Scene Development" at Theatre BC's Mainstage 2000 in Delta, B.C., July 1-8.
