FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Headlines Theatre's Meth:

Victoria performance CANCELLED

Due to circumstances beyond Headlines Theatre's control, the February 24
performance of Meth has been cancelled. The Saanich Adult Education Centre,
sponsor of the event, has decided it is unable to continue organizing for
the show.

The company was looking forward to performing the Forum Theatre project in
Victoria, and is very disappointed to make this announcement. Headlines
Theatre hopes that nobody is inconvenienced by this, and encourages
Vancouver Islanders to attend Meth in a nearby community.

Meth uses interactive theatre as a tool for community dialogue. Rather than
show a foregone conclusion, the play follows a story to its crisis and then
turns to the audience for answers. The approach is an innovative and fun way
for people to explore difficult issues, in this case, the root causes of
addiction.

"(Headlines' Meth) leads to an immediacy of understanding that no amount of
well-intentioned discussion can achieve." Kathleen Oliver review, Georgia
Straight

"I found Meth to be one of the most helpful sessions around addiction - on a
grass roots personal action level - I've ever attended" - Savannah Walling,
audience member
