| As part of Theatre BC's 75th
Anniversary Season, the organization inaugurated ACToberfest One Act
Festival, with the first event hosted by
Theatre Kelowna Society in downtown
Kelowna.
ACToberfest is intended to provide an event
that can be hosted in any community in the province and will feature One Act
plays of less then one hour in length. Anyone can enter. The final line-up
is decided through a selection process. Particular attention will be given
to new plays and Canadian works, including scripts that have been entered
into Theatre BC's Canadian National Playwriting Competition.
