The Eric Hamber
Memorial Trophy
Theatre BC's most prestigious award is
presented on an annual basis, if merited, as a part of the provincial
MAINSTAGE Festival awards
Ceremony. The Eric Hamber Award is given to a person, group or institution having made an
outstanding contribution to community theatre in British Columbia over a long period.
Nominations are reviewed prior to the
MAINSTAGE Festival by the Hamber Committee, chaired by Theatre BC's 1st Vice-President and
comprised of three past Hamber Award recipients or representatives on behalf of a group or
institution. Once a selection has been made, a person close to the recipient is informed
and arrangements for presentation at the MAINSTAGE Festival are made.
How to Nominate:
To nominate a candidate for this
award, print and complete this form.
Deadline Tuesday, June 1st, 2010.
The
form should be supplemented by letters of reference and/or documentation supporting
reasons why the candidate should receive this award. The Hamber Committee will use
only submitted information to make their selection.
The Committee maintains the right to
withhold the award should an eligible nominee not, in their opinion, be forthcoming.
However, nominations from the past two years may then be re-opened for consideration. You
may, therefore, renew your nomination for a person, group or institution you have
previously submitted by completing and returning the form.

Hamber Award, follow this link.
