Canada Council welcomes $25
million funding renewal
Ottawa, June 26, 2009 – Canada Council for the Arts welcomes today’s
announcement that the Government of Canada has renewed for five more
years the $25 million in annual funding scheduled to sunset at the
end of the current fiscal year. This represents total funding of
$125 million over the next five years. Minister of Canadian Heritage
and Official Languages James Moore made the announcement in
Vancouver, and Canada Council Director and CEO Robert Sirman was
there to hear the good news.

tour of London's attractions and theatres through Educational Tours

GVPTA offers Roundtable for Performing Arts Fundraising
Professionals

Are you the
person responsible for fundraising in your organization? Do you
wonder sometimes how other presenters, theatre companies, or
arts groups might be tackling similar projects or campaigns?
Well here’s your chance to meet other Vancouver performing arts
fundraising professionals and talk as a group about common
interests, issues and questions. GVPTA Board Member Eleanor
Stacey is the Director of Development at The Cultch, and will be
convening the GVPTA’s inaugural Roundtable for Fundraising Staff
from Vancouver Theatres on October 16 at 10:00 am. Please rsvp
