THE PERFORMANCES WILL BE HELD ON
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16 AT 7:30 P.M.
& SUNDAY, OTOBER 17 AT 2:30 P.M.
IN QUALICUM BEACH AND WILL BE PERFORMED
IN ENGLISH WITH ORCHESTRA

REHEARSALS WILL BEGIN SATURDAY, AUGUST 21ST AT THE OCEANSIDE ARTS
COUNCIL GALLERY AT 133 McMILLAN STREET, PARKSVILLE AND WILL CONTINUE ON
EVERY SATURDAY UNTIL THE PERFORMANCES

PUBLICIZING THE OPERETTA. OTHER AREAS NEEDING EXTRA HANDS BEFORE
SHOWTIME ARE: HELPING WITH ALTERATIONS OR ADJUSTMENTS OF COSTUMES,
BACKSTAGE HELP, TRANSPORTING OF PROPS AND FURNITURE AND SET-UP AND TAKE
DOWN OF STAGE.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR AREA THAT APPEALS TO YOU
AND YOUR PREFERENCE AS TO WHETHER YOU WANT TO BE IN CHARGE OF THAT AREA OR IF YOU WISH TO HELP

Jericho Arts Centre Maintenance

It is coming up to our annual August Maintenance Week- and we are really putting our nose to the grindstone. We need help- the more the better! So if your elbows are feeling greasy, or your hands are feeling idle- come down to the Jericho Arts Centre to pitch in!

Dates: Monday August 9th- Saturday August 14th
Times: from 11am- 6pm
Where: The Jericho Arts Centre: 1675 Discovery St
Wrap Party 6pm on August 14th for all involved!

We need help in these key areas:

Labour to do cleaning, painting, wood and large object organizing, small fixes and advances.
Organizers to sort, file, box and label.
Builders to help install a new shelving system for wood storage and losable items.
Anyone who has tools and knows how to use them welcome (or one of the two).

Also during this week we have an ambitious program of inventory planned for our lighting equipment. We will train people how to take down, clean, inventory, and re-hang lighting instruments. We are looking to build a new lighting crew for this season. If you have an interest in theatrical lighting, or just want to be more involved- now is the time to sign up. Learn in a hands-on environment, with professional technicians, and help out to boot! For this position please be prepared to climb ladders and lift up to 20lbs.

Deep Cove Stage Society is looking for a Director for their hugely popular and always sold out Christmas Pantomime.

This year's panto is "Dracula the Panto" written by the late Jim Sperinck. It's one funny script!

Rehearsals start in October and the show runs Dec 15-Jan 1st.

The successful applicant should have an understanding of a traditional English pantomime, with knowledge of the genre, appropriate music and choreography.

Volunteers Needed

The Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre (VACT) is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers to join their Marketing Team for their upcoming original musical production, Red Letters. This musical production is a story set in the 1920s about Chinese immigration to Canada. Red Letters will be produced in Vancouver, Richmond, and Victoria from November 2010 to January 2011. VACT is looking for:
