For Sale/Rent

OFFICE RENTAL SPACE AVAILABLE AT HERITAGE HALL

Office space will be available at Heritage Hall in the near future. It is anticipated the space will be vacant by November 1, 2010.

The spaces will all be on the third floor of Heritage Hall. Rental rates are based on operating costs. The operator's budget has not been finalized so rents are approximate (the final figures will be close to these estimates).

  • The 567 square foot tower room will be available for rent for about $830/month.
  • #303 in the north east corner, at 592 square feet will be about $866/month.
  • #302 in the south west corner, at 512 square feet will be about $750/month. Since all of these rooms are on the third floor, renters could rent more than one room on the floor to make a larger office. Room #303 and the tower room are side by side. Room #302 is down the hall.

Heritage Hall is run by the Heritage Hall Preservation Society and its purpose is to maintain and restore the building. Office tenants must be registered non-profit societies or registered charities and each tenant agency must have an active member sitting on the Board of Directors of the Society. Heritage Hall is a financially healthy organization.

The building is at 3102 Main Street (15th and Main Street) in Vancouver. Information about the building can be found on the web site at http://www.heritagehall.bc.ca/
Agencies interested in viewing the office space should contact Building Manager, Marian Gilmour at 604 879-4816 or by email at mgilmour@heritagehall.bc.ca to set up an appointment.

Getting Started with Social Media for Artists and Arts Organizations

You’ve heard all the hype.

Using online social networks like Facebook, Twitter, My Space, Flikr, and YouTube to market your theatre company seems like a great idea. Everyone is talking about it, and the cost is free or low. But where do you start? How do you know that you are reaching the right audience? Where will you find the time to Twitter? And what the heck is a hashtag??

While its very true that social media is a great way to get in touch with your current and potential clients, learning the interface and the etiquette can be overwhelming. Furthermore, it’s really easy to get lost in social media, and the return on your investment of time may not be what you’d hoped.

What you need is a plan.

If you:

  • Are a theatre producer, marketer or adminstrator
  • Have a small marketing budget
  • Have been considering getting into social networking, or have started, but feel like you need help

Then, this guide is for you!

This 42-page Guide includes:

  • Basic Principles of Marketing (Touchpoints, Niche, Branding, Your Story)
  • Social Networking (Basic Principles, Creating a social networking marketing plan)
  • Basics and etiquette (E-Newsletters, Blogs, Bloggers, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Photo Sharing, You Tube)
  • A Glossary
  • A sample social media marketing plan
  • Fill-in-the-blank social marketing plan worksheets

But wait! There’s more!

  • A 30-minute individual consultation with Rebecca via email, phone or Skype
  • Free MP3 audio recording of the guide
  • Free updates

All for just $29.95 (Canadian)!
