Director-Oliver Hachmeister ,   Stage Mananger-Jen Strachan

BecauseHeCan, by Pulitzer Prize winning author Arthur Kopit, gained critical acclaim when it received it's world premiere (under the title Y2K) at the 1999 Humana Festival of New American Plays at Actors Theatre of Louisville. The New York Times called it "sizzling...a dark comedy that becomes a cautionary tale...the play has lethal feedback." The Christian Science Monitor said it was "stunning...a scary, relevant tale written with brilliant precision and steely mystery."

A New York couple's comfortable life is upset when a computer hacker exacts his revenge upon them for perceived wrongs they have inflicted on him. Two Federal agents (John & Isaiah Bell) investigate Joseph (Tom Kirschner) and Joanne Elliot (Aubyn Petryshyn) for suspected cyber-crimes that have come to light at the same time that the Elliots discover that their identities have been stolen and their reputations destroyed by Costa Astrakhan (Gilles Francoeur).
